More than five years of clinical practice across district hospitals, humanitarian operations, telemedicine, and a university medical centre — and a growing conviction that the most important questions sit upstream of the consulting room.
From one patient at a time to a whole population.
Dr. Uzzal Chandra Tangchangya is a general physician with over five years of experience working with local and international organisations, including BRAC, Save the Children, and the ICRC. He currently leads clinical care at the Medical Center of BRAC University's Residential Campus in Dhaka.
His path has taken him through emergency wards, digital health systems — including telemedicine, electronic health records, and digital prescription platforms — and a humanitarian COVID-19 response in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, where he extended clinical consultations to underserved communities. This experience raised questions clinical medicine alone couldn't answer, and ultimately led him into formal training in public health and epidemiology. He is currently pursuing an MPH in Epidemiology at the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) in Dhaka.
